Brackets on the fence posts could work for me too...
Finally got this to work... Before:
gardening is my physical activity thing.
i like to have a productive garden but dot it with a bit of pretty.
the front lawn is around 40m2 and i am converting it to potager this year.

I am rhubarb mad possum, exactly for stewing and pie. Planted an apple to go with it although that will be some years away...
Ruby - LOL! Naughty little foxes!!! Bees are exactly what I am after too. Have pea petit and pea progress seedlings on the grow and love sweet peas.
Xanthippe - I shall try nicotiana (new to me!) and French climbing beans you say? I have grown scarlet runners and dwarf green / butter beans... but will seek out some French!
Do you all realise at this rate, you will have a stake in my garden! 😄
i've been out about 9 months.
and yes i am still obsessed with anti-watchtower material.
i've been married 23 years.
I hear you. The prospect of living forever on earth gave no urgency to living life in the now. Leave it till the new system! You'll have plenty of time to study, learn music and do your own thing then! So you never needed to think about life goals and if you did, it was more of a fantasy.
For the now, my interests come last and my family's interests first. My down time now is reading and researching all of 'this' and I am becoming consumed by it.
I still don't think that I am living an honest and authentic life but will integrate more things in every now and then. Hence my garden goal this year :)
Guess what. I want grandkids to pick fruit from nanas garden. Didn't ever think about having grandkids coz surely that would be after a thousand years. Good god yes it is layers and layers of cultedness.
while it is true that maybe 1 or 2 things woke you up (like myself), it is interesting to reflect on the reality of what you did not believe, even if you were a true believer and would of died for the organization.
here is my list (not a complete list, i'm sure their is more).
what is your list like?.
Like Faye, it was death and resurrection with no hope of any normal happy life. Almost a hell on earth and what loving god would torment any living thing like that? That really stumbled me.
The shunning practice too. I had bad memories as a child of how others were treated and I remember being embarrassed by it.
Belief that only JWs were good people and were going to survive the big A.

Have been trying for a while to upload 'before' image with no luck. Will give it a try again later.
Possum - would you believe that we have had some heavy frosts but my rhubarb is still growing strong and insanely, while some strawberries have died down, I have a handful of flowers (still)...
Bonsai, I have just shopped around on line and see I can get a ready supply of heliotrope and cosmos so as I have never grown either, I shall do so on your recommendation! Your courtyard sounds amazing!!!

here is another jackson's misleading answer, from the transcript of august 14 :.
25 q. do you accept corporal punishment?
29 a. not not personally, no, and not as an organisation 30 we don't encourage it.
Thank you defender of truth. I must confess that I am a physical book freak no matter how fabulous and convenient modern technology.
"That is why Jesus on certain occasions refrained from giving full information or direct answers to certain questions when doing so could have brought unnecessary harm. (Mt 15:1-6; 21:23-27; Joh 7:3-10)
Evidently the course of Abraham, Isaac, Rahab, and Elisha in misdirecting or in withholding full facts from nonworshipers of Jehovah must be viewed in the same light.—Ge 12:10-19; chap 20; 26:1-10; Jos 2:1-6; Jas 2:25; 2Ki 6:11-23"
Interesting. So Jesus who never told a lie, the mirror image of his father who also cannot lie... are likened to imperfect humans?
We "evidently... must.. view in the same light" Rahab's example? Quite a long bow! There goes that suggestive speech again... "evidently we must view" but in 1975 evidently, it appears that some people misunderstood the WT and misapplied doctrine that WT may have suggested...
since i discovered ttatt, i am always looking for a good book that can help me recover.
if you think you need a therapist but can't get to one, i highly recommend this book: exiting the jwcult- a healing handbook.
the author (bonnie zieman) was a witness for 30 years, then became a professional in psychology.
